Baylor College of Medicine presents “Hip and Knee Replacement: Are You a Candidate?” Expert in same-day Total Hip and Knee Replacement. This physician is skilled in minimally invasive and rapid recovery techniques. This physician attended Duke University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of some of the most prestigious national accolades including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship. He is an Assistant Professor and Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. His primary interest is in joint replacement of the hip and knee including complex and revision operations. He is also the Director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Outcomes Center and Chief Quality Officer for the musculoskeletal services at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center (orthopaedic surgery, rheumatology, pain medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation). He is involved in designing hospital processes for efficiency and excellence, as well as providing expert consultation and oversight for quality and safety. As a passionate academic surgeon, he is heavily involved in research, teaching, mentoring, and volunteer activities. To date, he has produced over 100 articles, book chapters, and other peer-reviewed publications. “I really cannot imagine anything better than taking a patient with severe pain and poor quality and be able to transform their lives and see them happier and functional again.”
