This series of classes will feature the works of Jane Austen, an English novelist known primarily for her six major romance novels. This ongoing series will discuss her six major novels in the order they were written so you can witness first-hand how she grew into becoming one of the world’s most celebrated authors. Diane will facilitate this look at Ms. Austen’s life, the society of the time, as well as her work.
Diane has a BA in Sociology with a Business Minor and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. Since retirement, Diane has broadened her interests by attending Rice University and The Women’s Institute for Cultural Studies taking courses in Philosophy, Literature, Psychology, and Religion. She has also been a student of Energy Medicine and Spirituality along with her other talents and attributes. The first class will feature the film “Becoming Jane”. It includes the untold romance that inspired her novels. Doing the unthinkable. Marrying for love. Plus, a bonus feature about discovering the real Jane Austen.
