Most, but not all of the lessons will be done on the Floor.
The same types of slow, gentle movements that are used in the seated classes will be used to increase awareness of how we move
No prior experience is necessary
Wear comfortable clothing, which allows for movement
Please bring a large blanket to use on the floor, (yoga mats are too small), a towel or other small cushion for the head, and socks if you prefer to cover your feet as shoes are removed
Instructor: Kathy Brickey, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacher®
(This unique method coordinates movement, breath & mental focus. Mat & Chair Exercise)
What is Gyrokinesis®?
The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath, and mental focus.
The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair, without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a Gyrokinesis class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.
Benefits of Gyrokinesis®.
Increased Range of Motion
Greater Joint Stability
Improved Athletic Performance
Deep Internal Strength
Traditional Qigong practice to improve mind, body through gentle exercise and meditation
In this class we will have a live demonstration on how to work your iPhone.
