Description:

Calligraphy is an inexpensive and relaxing hobby, good for lowering blood pressure, calming the nerves, great for men and women and can be done solo or in groups. No prior experience needed. Learn how to hold your pen, loosening-up exercises, how to form the letters, and how to personalize them. This class is about enjoyment, not perfection. You can learn an admired ancient art. Bring your own pen. Buy a felt-tipped calligraphy pen. The instructor uses a Yasutomo Calligraphy Marker Set with sizes 2.0, 3.5, and 5.0. Please purchase online at Dickblick.com (or Google it – it’s available at sever stores online), or locally purchase any FELT TIP calligraphy pen in one or more sizes. The smaller the mm number, the thinner your letters will be. A 5.0 mm pen will make fat, thick letters, and a 1.5 mm or 2.0 mm pen is fine-tipped. The instructor likes 5.0 for big, bold work, and 2.0 for smaller lettering needs.
