Physician Presentation. Ovarian Cancer presented by an oncologist from MD Anderson. Ovarian cancer ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, accounting for more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. A woman's risk of getting ovarian cancer during her lifetime is about 1 in 78. This cancer mainly develops in older women. About half of the women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer are 63 years or older. Learn the signs, symptoms, and critical nature of early diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer. Dr. Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Gynecologic Oncology. Caring for women with gynecologic malignancies is her passion. She administers chemotherapy and performs specialized surgery, including by open, laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Her research interests include Quality Improvement and Health Services Research focusing on disparities in healthcare. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
