You must be 16 years of age and up to use the fitness equipment or to be in the fitness room unless attending a class. Participants must use a FULL SIZED TOWEL to protect the machines and yourself. Participants must wear ATHLETIC SHOES. Check the schedule for available times. The fitness machines are closed during class times.
These classes teach yoga postures that exercises every part of the body, stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the skeletal system. It also reduces physical and mental tension, leaving you feeling calm and refreshed.
This 30 minute outdoor exercise at our senior playground is to help Seniors 50 years and up, keep muscle and joints healthy, and is also good for co-ordination, mobility, and core stability.
You must call to reserve your spot for classes. Harris County residents and those who reside within the City Limits of Katy may sign up themselves and 1 person who live within their household beginning at 7:00am on Tuesday for the Tuesday class, at 7:00am on Thursday for the Thursday class, and 7:00am on Friday (the day before) for the Saturday class. Non Harris County residents may start calling on Tuesday at 10:00am for the Tuesday class, 10:00am on Thursday for the Thursday class & 10:00am on Friday for the Saturday class.
Zumba is a fun & effective cardio workout with sculpting exercises designed to tone the entire body from top to bottom. Latin music and a combination of fast and slow Latin moves are used. This high/low impact class has something to offer all fitness levels. If you have reserved a spot for Zumba class, make sure you are signed in at least 5 minutes before class begins or your spot will be given away
This low impact excercise is perfect to build strength and stay active. It provides the opportunity to strengthen your muscles, improve flexibility and core strength without the impact of intense movements. Come try the best SEATED workout you've ever experienced.
