Intersection Improvements Begin at Spring Cypress Road and Ella Boulevard

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey’s Office is set to begin construction later this week at Spring Cypress Road and Ella Boulevard.

The $830,000 project will improve traffic operations by increasing safety and car capacity through the intersection. Construction includes the installation of a westbound right-turn lane, upgrading the existing traffic signal, and extending the existing left-turn lanes.

“Safety and efficient flow of traffic are key, especially for densely populated areas like Spring,” said Commissioner Tom Ramsey, P.E. “This improvement should help alleviate wait times at the intersection and get folks to their destination in a timely manner.”

During construction, travelers will notice temporary lane closures. Drivers are asked to be mindful of directional signage and construction workers are they navigate through the area. Construction is expected to be complete by June 2023.
