Commissioner Ramsey Donates Tourniquets to Constable Precinct 3 Deputies

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Earlier today, Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey hand delivered 200 tourniquets to Precinct 3 Constable Sherman Eagleton. The donation came as a result of Constable Precinct 3’s Active School Shooter Response Training earlier this summer, which identified their need for this lifesaving equipment.

“It’s important we support our law enforcement and ensure they have the resources they need to do their job,” said Commissioner Ramsey. “This may seem like a small item, but in the world of emergency response, it’s the difference between life and death. I’m proud to help anyway I can.”

The cost of the tourniquets totaled just over $4,620, which Commissioner Ramsey purchased from his own Precinct’s budget.

This purchase is one of many ways Commissioner Ramsey is working with law enforcement for impactful, cost-effective measures to better serve the community, such as the creation of the Crime Task Force earlier this year and hosting the Safe School Summit last month. Both include representatives from city and county law enforcement agencies. Commissioner Ramsey will be presenting more solutions as a result of these meetings in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
