Asphalt Reconstruction Package 2022-1 in the Cypress and Spring areas

Project Scope: Repaving of roads, new markings, and street signs along Tanner Road from Triway Lane to the Sam Houston Tollway, West Little York Road from North Eldridge Parkway to Brittmore Road, and Kuykendahl Road from north of Spring Cypress Road to north of 1960

Project Scope: 2,100' long concrete twin bridge to tie into the 4-lane concrete boulevard to the north and south

Benefits: Improve safety and traffic flow by providing 2 lanes for southbound traffic and completing the mobility connection between Harris and Montgomery Counties

Project Scope: Convert 2-lanes to a 4-lane boulevard

Project Scope: Reconstruct local roadways within the Hemwick subdivision (Hemwick Drive, Deval Drive, Florafield Lane, Ladino Run, Gentry Road, McCaney Drive, and Aspen Lane) to meet current Harris County standards

Benefits: Will improve roadway conditions and safety as well as improve localized drainage within the subdivision

Jones Road at Charles Road Traffic Signal

Project Scope: Construction of a new mast-arm traffic signal with related pedestrian facilities

Kuykendahl Road Repaving

Project Scope: Repave Kuykendahl Road between north of Spring Cypress Road and north of FM 1960. Project will include asphalt reconstruction, new markings and street signs along the road segment.

Kuykendahl at Creekside Green Drive Intersection Improvement

Project Scope: Modifying the northbound and southbound left turn lane and rebuild traffic signal

Benefits: Improves driver’s visibility of pedestrians, bringing the intersection to be consistent with other signalized intersections in the area

Mercer Visitor Center

Project Scope: Reconstruction of the visitor center located at Mercer Park that was damaged from previous flood events
